Ozone water treatment for industrial and municipal processes
Ozone water treatment should be selected around the water source, the process duty and a measurable objective. This page is for industrial process water and municipal water-treatment projects in Europe, including new installations and integration into existing systems.
Define the water-treatment duty
Tell us where the water comes from, where it will be used and which parameter needs to change. Include average and peak flow, operating hours, temperature and available analyses. Distinguish a process-water quality target from a wastewater discharge target: the treatment train and evidence required may differ.
Water data before equipment selection
A flow rate alone does not determine the generator capacity. The assessment also needs the water composition, existing treatment stages, hydraulic conditions and a defined performance target. If information is incomplete, an initial discussion can identify the samples, tests or process measurements needed before sizing.
What the system includes
An ozone generator is one part of the installation. Depending on the project, the scope includes feed-gas preparation, cooling, dosing and gas–water contact, off-gas destruction, dissolved-ozone measurement and control. State which components already exist and which need to be included in the proposal.
Interfaces with your installation
Provide the available electrical supply, cooling arrangement, water pressures, connection sizes, space and control-system requirements. A process diagram helps identify the dosing point, contact stage, sampling points and downstream equipment. Mechanical connections, automation signals and responsibility for installation should be agreed explicitly.
Test the proposed process
Define a baseline, the target parameter, sampling locations and analytical method. A trial should record the actual water matrix and operating conditions as well as the measured result. Where relevant, assess residual ozone, transformation products and downstream polishing. Acceptance criteria belong to the individual project; no universal dose or treatment result is assumed.
Compare the full operating scope
The investment assessment includes the agreed equipment, integration, commissioning and documentation. Operating requirements include electricity, feed gas, cooling, consumables, measurements and maintenance. Evaluate these against your operating hours and actual process duty, using stated assumptions.
Start with a short project brief
Send your company, European site location, water source and a short description of the problem. Add a process diagram or analysis summary if already available. After the first discussion, we can use a technical questionnaire tailored to the duty rather than asking you to complete every engineering detail at the outset.
